The Akai GX-77 was Akai’s last and top of the line 6 head auto reverse, direct drive, 2 speed, well design, compact shape, Japan made, classic vintage 7” reel to reel machine. Manufactured from 1981 to 1985. GX-77 is a unique tape deck with excellent look. Double pinch rollers and one loading roller that loads the tape to make contact with the heads. This is four track stereo open reel tape deck model. Digital counter. Special dust flap for heads to prevent from dust.
